At Performers Theatre Workshop, Expert Faculty Train the Total Performer in a Caring, Non-Competitive Environment
At Performers Theatre Workshop, we’ve spent over 40 years building a warm, supportive, culturally rich community where children of all ages and levels can find friendship, build confidence, and develop skills they will use for a lifetime.
With students ranging in level from complete beginner to professional performers, each student at PTW is celebrated. We meet with each student and their parents to customize a program for that individual student based on their goals, interests, age, and level. Students are placed in PTW classes and offerings that fit their age and level to maximize their positive experience and facilitate the greatest fun, learning, and growth possible. Our school focuses on fun and learning in a kind, non-competitive atmosphere, so students feel free to take risks, try new things, and soar! Founded in 1981 by Juilliard graduates Esther and Howard Kravitz, our faculty is comprised of conservatory-trained experts, each hand chosen by Dean Kravitz, our Executive Artistic Director, not only for that teacher’s top-level expertise but also for that teacher’s ability to help students get to their next level in a positive, nurturing, and supportive way.
We offer over 100 classes, private lessons, masterclasses, summer programs, and shows, each geared to building different performing arts skills…so there is something wonderful for each student interested in getting to the next level in the performing arts! Class sizes are small, enabling each student to get one-on-one attention as part of the class environment – with teachers utilizing differentiated instruction techniques to help students work on opportunities for growth specific to that student.
Situated in Millburn, PTW proudly serves as a theater home for performers from all over New Jersey, including Essex, Morris, and Union Counties, and students in the greater Tri-state area. Our comprehensive approach and welcoming atmosphere have established us as the #1 Top NJ Performing Arts School.
Join the PTW family and discover a place where talents are honed and lifelong passions are ignited. Experience the difference at Performers Theatre Workshop, where we’ve empowered young artists for over 40 years!
