Class Description
PTW’s Hip-Hop & Jazz Dance Classes expose our students to a wide range of commercial dance styles. Musical theatre repertoire, classic jazz, contemporary dance, and hip hop are just a few of the styles we study. Classes begin with a warm-up comprising technique developing exercises, flexibility enhancing stretches, and strength building calisthenics. Progressions across the floor help your child execute footwork patterns precisely, embodying the rhythm of the music. Classes conclude with a dance combination that encourages your child to develop their personal expression and style. Students learn various dance styles that influence present-day choreography and inform how performers dance in contemporary musicals.
PTW’s expert team places students in a class appropriate to their age, level and experience. Private acting and drama lessons are also available.
