Performers Theater Workshop has successfully guided students like you through the college audition process for more than 30 years. We’ve helped students of diverse interests earn acceptance to elite college programs, including those at Carnegie Mellon, Boston Conservatory, Ithaca College, and many more. The College Audition Prep track offers peace of mind through our time-tested curriculum, customized around your goals and abilities.
Our experts will guide you, step by step, through the college audition process, which, for many young artists, can feel daunting. You’ll build confidence, develop a sense of ease, and receive the highest level of preparation. Plus, you’ll have access to the tristate area’s leading voice, acting, and dance teachers from your first consultation to your final acceptance decision.
We’ll match you with your Personal College Prep Arts Guidance Counselor as part of your customized prep package. Over many years, these expert instructors have gained a wealth of experience and continue updating their college prep toolkits as technology advances and processes change with each calendar year.
In addition to your Personal College Prep Arts Guidance Counselor, you’ll receive instruction and feedback from voice, song interp, acting, and dance teachers, who’ll help you prepare your materials in each other their areas of expertise. By the end of this process, you’ll feel confident and excited about your pre-screens and live auditions, your unique strengths, and your knock-em-dead chances of getting into your target colleges and universities!

You’ll meet with our expert college prep coaches who’ll evaluate your needs based on your individual goals. This initial session will give you peace of mind, promoting confidence in your repertoire choices and helping you build trust with an expert who truly understands what makes you unique.
2) Creating Your Roadmap
Your coach will help you deeply engage and refine your existing strengths and address areas in need of development. We will present repertoire and, together, explore pieces with you until we identify material that showcases your unique abilities and amplifies what makes you an exceptional performer.
3) Progress Check-in
We’ll benchmark opportunities for you to follow up with your expert coaches who will check in with you to make sure you’re on track with organizing your audition materials and managing your time.
4) Rehearse, Refine, Polish
Your expert coaches will meet with you to help you rehearse, refine & polish your audition pieces. They’ll hold you accountable for leveling up in different nuances of your performance, and establish new short-term goals for artistic breakthroughs ahead of your college auditions.
5) Requirements Assessment
You’ll meet with your expert coaches to detail a checklist for each audition and its individual requirements so you address all the administrative items surrounding your audition ahead of time.
6) Recording Self Tapes and Fine Tuning Audition Prep
You’ll attend scheduled sessions at PTW’s centralized studio where you receive coaching and record your pre-screen self-tape.
7) Practice, Practice, Practice
You’ll continue honing your audition material after you record your prescreens in preparation for your auditions, alongside your expert coaches, who will guide you to experience new, consistent performance breakthroughs — the kind that only happen over time.
8) Access Callbacks
Alongside your expert coaches, you’ll finalize your audition list, and create and execute a callback prep plan. These sessions help ensure you make reasonable, productive decisions throughout the audition process that resonate with you as a performer and an individual.
9) Audition, Review, Repeat
After you perform your audition with confidence and poise, you and your expert coach will review every aspect of your delivery, finding ways to enhance your performance before your next audition.

Both Sundays, 1-2:15pm Students and Parents, and 2:15-4pm Just Students
During these two classes, PTW Professional Track Faculty will guide students & parents through everything we’ll cover throughout the year in Pro Track and what will be expected of each student.
Information will be given on audition preparation for students and parents, including important things to know before/during/after an audition, and a parent and student Q&A session with Pro Track faculty.
Students will have their first set of Song Interp and Acting master classes with Professional Track faculty: 7 Four-Hour Master Classes $3395 ($485 each)
