Class Description

Sight singing is the process of looking at a piece of music you’ve never seen before and being able to sing the notes just by reading the music. This valuable skill enhances technique and expands ability for all musicians, but especially for singers. We have been teaching Sight Singing to our Troupe students for many years, recently offering the class as an elective to our students in Performers, Triple Threat, Broadway Bound, and Encore. PTW students frequently share how much they learn from Sight Singing and how excited they are to continue refining their new skills. Plus, our alumni students often return to express how their past Sight Singing classes have prepared them for joining their college vocal & a cappella groups, as well as songwriting and auditioning in the professional world.
