Class Description
PTW’s Hip-Hop & Jazz Dance Classes expose our students to a very wide range of commercial dance styles. Musical theatre repertoire, classic jazz, contemporary dance, and hip hop are just a few of the styles we study. The class begins with a warm-up comprising technique developing exercises, flexibility enhancing stretches, and strength building calisthenics. Progressions across the floor will help the student execute footwork patterns precisely and in rhythmic to music. The class ends with a combination in the center in which the student develops expression and style. Students are exposed to various styles of dance, styles that are influencing choreography and dancing in contemporary musicals.
Students are carefully placed in a class appropriate to their age, level and experience. Private acting and drama lessons are also available.
