Performers Theater Workshop has successfully guided students like you through the college audition process for more than 30 years. We've spent the past three decades helping students of varied interests earn acceptance to such elite college programs as Carnegie Mellon, Boston Conservatory, Ithaca, and many more. In the College Audition Prep track. You will feel peace of mind with a time-tested curriculum customized around your goals and abilities.
Our experts will guide you, step by step, to ensure you have confidence, a sense of ease, and the highest level of preparation. From your first consultation to your final college offer decision, we will lead you through each phase of the audition process. You will have the Tri-State Area’s leading voice teachers, acting teachers, and dance teachers available, all under one roof here at PTW.
As part of the program each student will be given a Personal College Prep Arts Guidance Counselor to help you with your college prep process. You will be guided by one of our College Prep Arts experts. This expert guidance teacher has a wealth of experience in specifically guiding young people to audition for arts colleges and universities.
In addition to your Personal College Prep Arts Guidance Counselor, you will be matched with an voice teacher, song interp teacher, acting teacher and dance teacher, each of who will focus on helping you prepare your materials in their area of expertise. By the end of the process will have pre-screens and live auditions that you will feel very confident about, will maximize your unique strengths, and put your best foot forward to optimize your chances of getting into your dream schools.

Guidance Sessions
1) Consultation and Evaluation
You’ll meet with our expert college prep coaches who will evaluate your needs based on your individual goals. This initial session will give you peace of mind, promoting confidence in your repertoire choices and building a sense of trust with an expert who truly understands what makes you unique.
2) Planning Your Unique Roadmap for your College Preparation and Acceptance Success
Your chosen coach will help you build on your existing strengths and address areas that require development and improvement. We will present repertoire and explore pieces with you to find the perfect vehicles to demonstrate your unique abilities that will make you stand out as exceptional.
3) Progress Check-in
You’ll follow up with your expert coacesh who will check in with you to make sure your organization of audition materials and time management stays on track.
4) Rehearse, Refine, Polish
Your expert coaches will meet with you to help you rehearse, refine and polish your audition pieces . They’ll hold you accountable for leveling up in nuances of your performance, and establish new short-term goals for artistic breakthroughs ahead of your college auditions.
5) Requirements Assessment
You’ll meet with your expert coaches to detail a checklist for each audition and its individual requirements so you address all the administrative items surrounding your audition ahead of time.
6) Recording Self Tapes and Fine Tuning Preparation for Auditions
Have one centralized studio where you receive coaching and do your pre-screen self-tape.
7) Practice, Practice, Practice
You’ll continue honing your audition material after you record your prescreens in preparation for your auditions, alongside your expert PTW coaches, who will guide you to experience new, consistent performance breakthroughs, the kind that only happen over time.
8) Access Callbacks
Alongside your expert coaches, you’ll finalize your audition list, and create and execute a callback prep plan. These sessions help ensure you make reasonable, productive decisions throughout the audition process that resonate with you as an individual.
9) Audition, Review, Repeat
After you perform your audition with confidence and poise, you and your expert coach will review every aspect of your delivery, finding ways to enhance your performance before your next audition.
Preparing For The Future with PTW
College Prep Track Schedule
2 Start-of-Year Masterclasses: Sundays Sept.17 & Oct.1, 2023 $970 ($485 each)
- Both Sundays, 1-2:15pm Students and Parents, and 2:15-4pm Just Students
- During these two classes, PTW Professional Track Faculty will guide students & parents through what will be coveredthroughout the year in Pro Track and what will be expected of each student.
- Information will be given on audition preparation for students and parents, including important things to knowbefore/during/after an audition, and a parent and student Q & A session with Pro Track faculty.
- Students will have their first set of Song Interp and Acting masterclasses with Professional Track faculty.7 Four-Hour Master Classes $3395 ($485 each)
- Four PTW Faculty Master Classes
- 2023-24 Masterclasses: 1-4pm on October 22, October 29, March 17, April 14
- Plus pick of any Three PTW Industry Professional Master Classes (upgrades to more than 3 are available)
